CLUB NOW CLOSED FOR WINTER

 

 

IMPORTANT - WE HAVE TO HAVE THE LEEDS LEAGUE TEAMS IN BY MID JANUARY SO WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT TEAMS PLAYERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR.

THE CLUB WILL BE OPEN FOR A COFFEE MORNING ON FRIDAY 9TH

SIGNING-ON SHEETS WILL BE AVAILABLE

 

Monday night team - used as a development side to bring on new players sprinkled with a bit of experience (open age)

Wednesday afternoon - open age suitable for all as we run two teams A and B

Thursday team - An afternoon league for 55 and over players

Saturday team - A good quality league better suited to players with a few years experience

new/possibility - A Tuesday evening team that is open age. The idea of this team is to maybe replace the Tuesday  afternoon B team that is for over 60's only. We struggled to field two sides last season and this gives an option of adding players that were not eligible for the afternoon 60+ side. note - we will not run both 

We need a decision on this team so decide if you would like to stay with the over 60's afternoon or change to the evening league. (this will not effect the Tuesday A team that will run as normal)

WHATS HAPPENNING

FRIDAYS

We gather from 11:00 AM at the club for a relaxed tea and coffee morning, combined with some friendly social games. Visitors and new players are always warmly welcomed to join us on this day. Whether you want to play, or simply stop by for a cup of tea and a chat, feel free to drop in! 

TUESDAY EVENING

The club will be open from 5.30 PM to 7:30 PM (weather permitting) to welcome anyone interested in trying out our game. All necessary equipment will be provided for those who wish to participate. No prior experience is needed, and our friendly club members will be available to guide newcomers through the basics and answer any questions. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill or simply enjoy a fun and active evening, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved!

General meeting for all members to discuss the new season teams and payment details.

MEETING AT MORLEY SERVICES CLUB AT 7.30PM

 We ask all members to attend if possible

 

TUESDAY 21ST JANUARY

The club will be holding a general meeting to discuss what teams to enter into the leagues for the coming season. We will also use this as an opportunity to discuss the Leeds council decision to close greens, as this could have a big impact on the club.

The club will be holding the annual general meeting followed by a social evening at the Morley services club on High Street from 7.30pm. please join us for fun of the pig racing, bingo and beer.
